Terminal 1 redesign

Schiphol is developing continuously. To continue to meet the annual growth in passengers, the redevelopment of Terminal 1 is currently in full swing. Both Departure Hall 1, as well as Lounge 1, are being rebuilt, renovated and expanded. Based fulfills an essential role in supporting and directing this extensive project by deploying one of our three pillars: innovative information management. 

Initially, at the start of the HT1 project in 2017, we were asked to demonstrate and test how BIM could be applied within such a project. In 2020, however, it became clear there was greater demand. There was also a need for a partner who would participate in process improvement, process analysis and better information flows. It was not just model checking, but innovative information management in the broadest sense of the word.

Based focuses, among others, on the proper management of the information flow within this project. It does this by working closely with both team Asset Management (ASM) and project managers of Schiphol Projects and third parties (including contractors). Thanks to our support, the information deliveries that come in are now examined.

Our support has led to both a better transfer to occupancy and an improved project transfer to the Asset Management department. Using innovative information management, we are laying a foundation from which Schiphol can also benefit in the future.
