Waternet is the only water company in the Netherlands that takes care of the entire water cycle. It supplies clean drinking water in Amsterdam and the surrounding area and also works on strong dykes, the quality of surface water and the treatment of waste water in the area of Waterschap Amstel Gooi en Vecht. Based works at Waternet on setting up and organising the Asset Information Management (AIM) team. This team works on the systematic establishment of adequate control of data & information for Asset Management at Waternet. This includes strategic and tactical steering of data and information, operational management, improving and maintaining data and information quality.
Based contributes to the drafting of Asset Information Management policies and policy documents, the drafting of strategic documents such as a data strategy, performing information needs analyses and making those information needs clear for the actual design of the data and application landscape. An important part of this is working closely with the OTL (Object Type Library) team. From the information requirement analyses, additions or adjustments to the OTL emerge. In addition, the OTL is used by the AIM team to set up the organisation's application landscape so that Waternet can work better with the right and requested data.
